These are also known as wire ways, trunkings or wire ducts. These are widely used in IT industries to carry the networking cables.
Raceways are of Two Types:
Floor Raceways :
These are embedded in the concrete below the floor surface level. In many cases floor raceways are provided with partitions to seperate the cables (Power and Data). The covers will be either screwed or welded.
Ceiling Raceways:
These are generally hung from the ceiling with supports like threaded rod & slotted channel arrangement. Here the covers may be push fit (Removable) type.
The raceways may be pre galvanized, painted, powder coated or Hot Dip Galvanized.
The standard lengths of Cable Trays are 2500mm.
The standard widths are 100mm, 150mm, 200mm, 300mm, 400mm and 450mm.
The standard heights are 40mm, 50mm, 70mm, 75mm and 100mm.
